I bought a few baskets to sample and was so pleased with the Hobson Estate Trio! All three of the wines were good but the Merlot and the Cabernet were actually special. The Merlot was fruity with notes of fresh plums and cranberries and held its own with the bbq'd pork chops I served. I drank the Cabernet a few days later and was as pleased. It was served with some grilled steaks, generously seasoned with salt and pepper. The Cab was a perfect compliment. Hopefully someone will get me the Hobson Estate Trio for Christmas! There were 2 types of chocolates, but only 2 pieces came in each container. The garlic cheese spread tasted good, but it was small and it disappeared within minutes with only a few getting a chance to try it. The artichoke dip needed to be made from scratch which I was unaware of, so no one got to try it. It was a nice treat, but it would be better served if only 2-3 people were involved. I served it for New Year's eve and thank goodness that we also bought cheeses, meats and breads; otherwise we would have all gone hungry. Comments about Steeplechase Vineyards Trio: This was the perfect gift! I just sent this to my neighbors for congratulations on their new home. They absolutely loved it, and went on and on how great tasting the wines were and the food. And such a beautiful presentation they said. Excellent value! And never a problem with deliveries from this company whom I have used many times. Comments about Steeplechase Vineyards Trio: An attractive product, well packaged; excellent customer service, prompt despatch. Let down by UPS delivery who made no serious attempt to deliver at the first attempt on the correct day (recipient's birthday), claiming that the recipient was not in - in fact both residents of the house were in as were several workmen, and no less than 6 cars were parked on the drive - also the garage door was open too! This was the recipient's birthday, leaving her disappointed and me annoyed! I complained direct to UPS in the USA and reported their poor peformance to Wine Country Gift Baskets. At the second attempt, a day late, and with identical occupancy of the house, delivery was successfully achieved. Although it was through no fault of their own, Wine Country Gift Baskets gave me a 10% rebate on the order by way of compensation - which shows that they care about customer satisfaction. I hope that UPS will be required to reimburse this rebate to Wine Country Gift Baskets. I have heard no more from UPS which leads me to question how much they care about their reputation. Pros
