Merlot is loved for its smooth, approachable style. Originally from Bordeaux, France, it's now grown throughout California and Washington State. It makes a medium- to full-bodied red with soft tannins and flavors of plum, black cherry and a hint of chocolate, easy to enjoy on its own or with a meal.

Merlot pairs well with roast chicken, pork, mushrooms, pasta with red sauce and mild cheeses. Our Merlot gift baskets combine a bottle with gourmet treats for a gift that pleases red wine fans and newcomers alike.
